Booking a job
How do I get started?
Describe what you need in plain words or pick a service, add a photo and your address, and submit. We invite nearby vetted pros to send you quotes — usually within minutes.
How many quotes will I get?
Up to three local pros can respond with an upfront price, their rating, and earliest availability. You choose the one that fits; there's no obligation to book.
Payments
When am I charged?
Your card is held, not charged, when you book. We only charge it once the job is complete and you approve it. If something's not right, you can raise it before paying.
Are there extra fees?
You see the pro's flat quote before booking, plus a small service fee shown at checkout. No subscriptions, no surprise charges at the door.
Scheduling & changes
Can I reschedule or cancel?
Yes — you can reschedule or cancel for free up to 2 hours before the scheduled time, right from the job screen.
What if the job changes once the pro arrives?
If the work turns out bigger than expected, your pro can propose a change with a clear add-on price. Nothing changes unless you approve it.
Trust & safety
Every job on TruliLocal is built on a few non-negotiables:
- Vetted pros only. ID verification and background checks before anyone can take a job.
- Protected payments. Your card is held until the work is done and approved, and bookings are covered by the TruliLocal Guarantee.
- Private contact. Calls and messages run through the app, so personal numbers stay private.
- Real accountability. Ratings and reviews come from completed jobs, and our support team steps in on no-shows, unfinished work, or billing issues.
